W3, the commercial building complex at Wien Mitte, asked designers to submit their designs for the former facade. The idea was to supply the facade with movable elements, partially able to rotate through motors powered by solar energy. Due to its flexible appearance, it would have been possible to play at it messages of pedestrians via social media and advertisements.
